2013 HOMES & GARDENS DESIGNER AWARDS





Last night, A-Gent of Style was thrilled to be invited by Mary Fox Linton to attend with her the 2013 Homes & Gardens Awards, an event that recognises and celebrates talent, innovation and excellence in contemporary design in the UK. Amongst the nominees, established designers and ‘new kids on the block’ contended with on another from a variety of disciplines ranging from ceramics to lighting via design (interiors, bathroom, kitchen). The evening hosted at the British Museum culminated with a special Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Nicky Haslam.

I came across Parisian designer Olympia Le-Tan  after meeting her mother at the Pavilion of Art & Design in Paris a few years ago and I was immediately enthralled by the sheer originality of her work. Le-Tan’s cleverly re-invents classic book covers which she turns into hand-embroidered clutch bags, or minaudières
