‘ECLECTIBLES’ AT PAD LONDON 2014

111

Remarkable. The 8th instalment of PAD London, which A-Gent of Style  featured before its opening last Monday here, came to a close on Sunday and left many of us, antiques and design lovers, inspired and enraptured with its smorgasbord of first-class furniture, decorative objets, jewellery, photography, and tribal and modern art.

The variety and stylistic combinations of the vignettes and their contents, or should we say ‘eclectibles’, created beautiful relationship and synergies between seemingly disparate notables that read like a roll call of, in their vast majority, 20th C museum-quality pieces with incredible provenance, rarity, authenticity and integrity. Collectors and investors not only come from all around the world to visit PAD. They also come to buy. And didn’t they just! Many pieces had been sold by the end of the preview last Tuesday evening, even before the opening the public.

Until its 9th iteration in Paris next March (six months to wait. The agony), here are A-Gent of Style’s highlights, for your eyes only…
